Sometimes We Push Too Hard…

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

A friend of mine seemed to be on the fence concerning the purchase of the Rich Jerk software through Mr. X.'s link.  This would have given him both RichJerk software and The Blackbook Dvds. The value in the Rich Jerk package was in the protege program.  I gave him X's affiliate link so that he would get both.  But he seemed to need some pushing - I thought he didn't know what he wanted and I kept pressing him to buy through X because it was such a great deal.  I never even gave him my affiliate link.  He kept saying that he would purchase through my link.  Here it is now:

www.1shoppingcart.com/SYS/?m=95295&c=1

Sometimes, when we want to help our friends and associates, we just push too hard.  I had meant to inform and educate, but maybe he thought I was hard-selling - I don't know.  I was selling him on doing something for his own good, but only he could be the judge of that.  I wasn't making a dime. I just know in this game of Internet Marketing, the rich keep getting richer and the rest are getting shafted.  And  while The Adwords Black Book focused on tactics for spanking the competition - the Black Book DVDs focus more on strategies for diverting THEIR customers to become YOUR customers - while THEY pay you to do it.  The Blackbook Dvds tell you how.

www.1shoppingcart.com/SYS/?m=95295&c=1

Can't afford the BlackBook Dvd's?  I'll give you $100 back in cash after the refund period is over, but I don't think I've ever heard of anybody asking for a refund for X's products.  And because I want to make sure you use them, I'll work with you on a strategy and process maps based on your goals for your product, project or business so you are doing the right things to get where you realistically want to go.

Now that the RichJerk's package is sold out, there is another one that I wanted my friend to look at, and if you are selling anything online, you need to know about this too.   This product goes much further than the RichJerk product did:  it actually finds OTHER affiliate's profitable adwords campaigns, saving you the time and expense of testing keywords and products to see if they are profitable or not - you will know that from the start.  There is even a comparison between the RichJerk product and this one. Mind you, the value in having tools and technology of any kind is in knowing how to use them and taking action.

Watch this video:  I'd love to hear what you think, and if you have any questions about it.

GOOGLES New Ranking Algorithm - The 950 Penalty

Here's an SEO-tip from  Mike Lang www.thelangreport.com, as found on the Authority Site Center Member Forum:

Google has an algorithm that detects over-optimized websites. The detected websites are downranked in the Google search results. This over-optimization filter in Googles ranking algorithm is also called the "-950 penalty" because that is what usually happens to over-optimized web pages: they are downranked 950 positions.

Google's anti-spam engineer Matt Cutts published a video in which he also mentions over-optimization as a reason for ranking problems.

John Reese Publishes Report on Future of Internet Marketing

Hi,

John Reese just sent an email with a report on the future of Internet Marketing.  I admire his work and think you should listen to every single word he has to say.  He's brilliant!

It's a confirmation of what I have felt for a long time.  I planned on video marketing for some time now (and even have video templates for it) and will now focus on creating sales messages instead of sales pages.  Selling with video will be like TV on websites, telling stories and sharing information instead of hard-selling — I like this and it fits what I'm already doing, but I needed to find a way to market it properly.

The Internet will be "TV on steroids", on millions, if not billions, of websites!!!

Here's the link to his blog:

http://www.income.com/images/reports/rebirth.pdf

Just follow directions to download the 53 page report for free.  He also gives an update on his forthcoming INCOME.COM.

Great stuff!!

Rant and Second Free Video In Traffic Series: All Traffic Is The Same, Right?

Dear Friends,

I just want to rant about something - Adwords, to be specific.  I am sick and tired of it right now.  Ever since I started marketing online, I have heard that the quickest and best way to find traffic was through Adwords.  (Just a side note here: I was offered to purchase options in YouTube a few months before Google purchased it and didn't! Sometimes our timing is  REALLY off!)  SEO was the best way in the long run, but you could never do without Adwords and Google if you wanted quality traffic.

So I learned all I could about Adwords, and joined an SEO group.  I've invested a lot of money and time in both courses and practice with Adwords and trying to get higher page rank with Google.

However, the instant traffic I've received from my Adwords campaigns have not always been very targeted - the campaigns have to been tested and tweaked quite a bit, and there are many rules to abide by to avoid being slapped time and again. Adwords campaigns need to be monitored and if you have a few of them going on you know that you are stuck right in front of your computer day and night. This can really mess up your family life.

While I agree with Google that it's a good thing to create a quality experience for the Internet surfer and improve the quality of the websites on the Internet, a marketer can't spend all his or her working hours doing everything for free; it's important that the people that click on the ads actually want to buy something, or want to sign up and get more information.  So, of course, all traffic is not alike. The difference in traffic is whether it is targeted or not.

Targeted traffic is important because we are in this business to market products and services, or to get our message across to the people that we want to reach. That could also be to get people to become more aware about the environment, or about the human condition in general.  We might want to reach people who are interested in creating an action group for the homeless, or to warn about an impending disaster.  It's not always just about money.  But the cost of the traffic has not always been very profitable or justifiable.

One day, I was offered to order banner ads for my website, and I purchased a large amount of monthly impressions, but there were no click throughs on them at all.  This means that I receive zero traffic from that banner source.  So all banner sources are not created equal, either.  It just goes to show that the ad or banner you are showing must give the searcher exactly or something very close to what they are looking for.

The Second Free Video

I have written other posts about the video I saw the other day.  This concept just continues to blow my mind; about how to get massive amounts of traffic without Google, or SEO.   And how they ran BILLIONS of impressions through their adservers.  These numbers are mind-boggling!  When we start talking about  traffic in the millions and banner impressions in the billions, the numbers are so big I have to keep thinking about how many zeros there are behind the first digit.

I think this young couple has a lot to teach us about traffic, so I feel that watching the video will be some very good time spent for anyone interested in making money online and creating the "Internet lifestyle". They certainly know how to get massive amounts of traffic.  And the best part about it is that they are doing it without Google, SEO, JV Partners or search engines.

I'm delighted that they decided to share this with us.  So without further ado, here is the second video in the banner traffic series.

Be sure to take notes!

Teaming Up Against Google? Yahoo Renegotiates With Microsoft

Apropos types of strategic alliances…

I just love all those free investor newletters that drop into my mail box every day.  Today was no exception. Ann Sosnowski at the Taipan Publishing Group wrote an article about how renegade invesor Carl Icahn was pushing Microsoft and Yahoo together after he starting buying up shares in Yahoo.  She wrote:

*** Also adding to investor optimism is the possibility of another deal between Yahoo Inc. (YHOO:NASDAQ) and Microsoft Corp. (MSFT:NASDAQ).

When Yahoo declined Microsoft’s $44.6 million bid, activist investor Carl Icahn began buying up shares last week.

Carl Icahn is one of the richest men in the world. And he’s the most famous of today’s corporate raiders.

Carl Icahn votes with his money as an activist investor. Money talks. If he takes a substantial holding in your company, you better be concerned.

Ever since he staged a hostile takeover of TWA in 1985, Icahn is known as a ruthless activist investor who will do everything in his power to make you agree with him about how YOUR business is run. Or he’ll wipe you out.

Although Yahoo does have plans in place to repel a hostile takeover, it decided instead to renegotiate around Icahn with Microsoft.

Now Microsoft and Yahoo are in talks again to combat Google Inc. (GOOG:NASDAQ) in the online marketplace. They’re talking alternatives to a complete buyout at this point.

It would be extremely profitable for Yahoo and Microsoft to team up against GOOG. There’s definite value in Yahoo that Microsoft should be able to unlock for investors.

Review of Google Cash Detective (GCD), Adwords Tycoons, and AdSpyPro

"Walk Into Any Niche You Choose
And Dominate Instantly Because
You'll Already Know Where The
Money Is At Every Single Turn…
Before You Ever Even Spend A
Dime Of Your Own" ???

These are the types of claims we have been reading in the recent months from several software, promising that you can literally begin to investigate
a number of keywords and track the advertisers whose advertisements are constantly showing up. This type of monitoring is hugely powerful, especially if it's
able to be done in an automated fashion.

Well — if you've seen any of the recent launches for Google Cash Detective, X-Ray Domination, Uncover Profits or Adwords Tycoons, then you already know that most of those programs are out of reach even for some people that are making good money.

X-Ray Domination = $1500
Undercover Profits = $291 per month
Google Cash Detective = $495 plus $97 per month
Adwords Tycoons = $1500

If you've ever wondered how some of the guys in the past year have been turning up some incredibly enormous checks by using the Pay-Per-Clicks, wouldn't you want to know HOW they are doing it?  I know I do!

What gets more powerful than letting a little robot loose on the Internet to monitor particular keywords and report back ONLY the campaigns that were shown the most every time they were monitored?  This literally gives you a license to piggyback on other people's success that already have a proven selling process for their affiliate website landing page or just their affiliate link.

I have been testing GCD for a couple of months now and can verify this.

I recently received a great offer from JP Schoeffel at www.adspypro.com/ . This software is the was created in the "Better'n'Cheaper" series, where a number of people pay in advance nominal membership fees to create cheaper and better alternatives to software that has been released and which are only available at much higher prices.  He writes that he has received a lot of criticism for this.  JP Schoeffel has long experience in Internet Marketing and has produced some very good marketing materials and tools, such as Niches-In-A-Box and many social bookmarking books and tools. He has also had  a lot of success as an affiliate marketer.  Now I know why!!!

When I finally got around to reading the sales page on www.adspypro.com/ I was happy to see that it works with several other programs - not just Adwords. The price on the page says $67 for the time being, and will continue to rise after the pre-launch period is over.  Rush to get this software, if you have missed out on the others. Receive $20 back from me after the guarantee period has ended, provided you purchase through my link, of course.  The $20 rebate is valid only until June 30th, 2007 and for 500 licenses.

I received my copy today and I am pleased to say that it looks very good.  More to come in the near future on a review of this software and some effective strategies to use with them.

I received Google Cash Detective, GCD, as a surprise bonus last year when I subscribed to a new Adwords management service, which took me months to learn - not because it  was so hard, but because I am so non-technical. The link to GCD arrived about a couple of months ago.  Being the non-techie person that I am, t took me quite some time to learn to install - but once I finally got over my fear and "got it", I realized it wasn't that  difficult, after all to install software and things like a "cron manager" and to create databases. I've been testing it without any detailed instructions on how to find the profitable campaigns.  I have found campaigns and tested new ones but haven't had the instant success that so many people are claiming would be the results of having this. I suppose if someone were to peek over my shoulder and tell me exactly what, when and how to do things, I would learn much faster and be earning much more money with it.

I also recently received a copy of Adwords Tycoon, which went on sale yesterday and sold out within a few hours of its launch, even after hours of problems with their servers, and learned just very quickly through their tutorials how they find the profitable campaigns, but the price of that software was very high.  These software are very similar to one another, but to be fair, the Adwords Tycoon software gives more info and is more flexible than GCD, but lacks the extended service of transferring your keywords to your Adwords campaigns, a monthly service priced at $97 per month, as mentioned before.

More to come on a comparison of the functionality of these software and the results I am getting.

Google Cash Detective, Adwords Tycoons, XRayDomination, and UnderCover Profits are ALL SOLD OUT.  But you can get www.adspypro.com/ for a limited time at the pre-lauch price of $67 and $20 back from me after the guarantee period has ended, provided you purchase through my link, of course.  The $20 rebate is valid only until June 30th, 2007 and for 500 licenses.

Stay tuned to this blog for an upcoming video on the results I am getting with these software.

Will You Buy The Competition, Or Be Put Out Of Business?

As Web 2.0 becomes less of just a buzzword and more of a
reality, the types of sites webmasters need to publish will
increasingly become more important. In other words,
mini-sites are slowly dying and cookie-cutter article sites
are on the way out as well. Web surfers will become more
value-focused and web companies will become larger.

Over the next few years expect larger conglomerates to be
buying up profitable websites in their chosen markets.
Expect smaller sites to either be bought or driven out of
business. My intention is not to scare you, but this
outcome is inevitable.

Large businesses have always taken two approaches to their
desired markets. They either buy their competition or they
push them out of business. You want to be prepared when
this trend begins on the Internet.

Being a webmaster and online marketer, you should be
preparing for one of two scenarios. To position yourself
for a buyout to a larger company or to become the larger
company that dominates your chosen market.

Whichever route you choose is entirely up to you, but I
would suggest that it would be in your best interest to
begin focusing on authority sites. You can either start
building them or turning your current sites into them.
Whatever your approach may be, I assure you it will help
you sleep better at night.

What Is the Definition of an Authority Site?

A fairly comprehensible authority site definition was put
forward by Jason Dowdell of Global Promoter. Jason defined
it this way: …quot;Authority sites are sites that have
been linked to and referenced on other web sites covering
the same subject matter and they also will have hundreds if
not thousands of pages covering that subject matter and
nearly every facet of it….quot;
